MEMORIAL VIGIL FOR COLLISION VICTIM NAIEM UDDIN ON DECEMBER 1ST

UPDATE:
There will be no lit candles, as it is inappropriate to the family's faith.

-----------------------------------------------

People will have an opportunity to join together to mourn the loss of Mohammad Naiem Uddin and honor his memory at a candlelight vigil next Monday, December 1st, at 6:00 p.m. The vigil will take place in the P.S. 130 schoolyard on Fort Hamilton Parkway at E. 5th Street.

The 72nd Precinct and the 66th Precinct will escort the memorial procession as it walks from P.S. 130, down Caton Avenue, and then to E. 7th Street. The mourners will then pause in front of the home of Naiem's family for a brief moment of silence.

Please do not wonder if it is appropriate for you to attend; you are all welcome to join the vigil, regardless of whether or not you knew Naiem, know his family, or have anything else in common with them besides our common humanity.
